Designing Studio Eyewear
The design process always starts with the wearer’s needs and desires – the muse being a confident woman who dares to express herself.
With the name “Studio”, the design team is given a possibility to let inspiration guide the future path of the brand. It is a work in progress, it's in a studio where creativity takes place, and wonders can happen.
Sources of inspiration has been female heroines, gemstones, travel and wonderous dreams to name a few. The aim is to create a fantasy world conveyed by pieces of wearable art in the physical world.
The design team for Studio Eyewear is led by Design Manager Anna Mälstad for Swedish eyewear company OPO Scandinavia. The team has decades of experience designing eyewear and brings their collective skills and passion to the collection. With a perfect pitch for colours and unique style, the frames are given an artful expression and made to be a strong fashion statement.
Studio Eyewear’s design studio is in the hip, urban city of Malmö, located in the south of Sweden. Here the brand has the opportunity to collaborate with local photographers, creators, and clothing designers to express the dream that is Studio Eyewear.
Be Happy & Express Yourself
An important ingredient in Studio Eyewear is happiness. Eyewear is something that is ever present and visible – just like a piece of clothing – often from morning to evening. The frames convey both a playfulness and an elegance that looks seemingly effortless. “Be Happy & Express Yourself” is the Studio Eyewear mantra, and something that characterizes the entire collection.
Materials
The collection is made from acetate from the Italian supplier Mazzucchelli, providing a quality material these expressive frames. All metal parts are gold or silver plated. The frames are made in limited editions and sold exclusively at selected opticians with profound knowledge of your optical needs.
